When King David was old and nearing death, he called his son Solomon and told him he was about to die, that Solomon would need to be strong and show himself a man. It happens. One generation passes, another generation remains. How many times has that happened? Countless times. Each generation is left with taking up what the previous generation set down.

There have been arguments by unthinking people who say there is no “God”, because how can a loving god allow war, murder, mayhem, etc? God didn’t allow it. Man did. What God gave Man to manage is Man’s to manage. God didn’t tell Cain to whack Abel with a stick and kill him. Cain did. History is full of examples of Man doing to Man and environment whatever Man wanted then blaming God or some god for things going bad. It was Man’s responsibility to manage; not God’s.

Whenever something tragic happens or war or politics not going the way someone wants, inevitably, someone begins looking at “eschatology” and crying end times. This makes people start looking for the Christian escape pod called “rapture”. There are quite few different opinions out there on what the “rapture” is, who gets to play along, and who doesn’t. Pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib? Well, like a pastor friend of mine once said, he is a pan-tribulationist. It will all pan out in the end. Most seem to view the rapture as the escape shoot or escape pod that will pull them out of the Earth and into Heaven where nothing ever bad will ever happen to them again. People really need to read that Bible for themselves and stop relying theologians, theologists, or people just selling books.
