Jesus was and is the best example of Man walking with God. God’s original intent was that Man would walk with Him in partnership and learn how to rule and reign with Him. God said in Genesis 1 and 2 that Man was to tend (take care of), dominate (be in charge of), rule (set limits), prosper (cause to increase), and multiply (repeatedly do it again) what was in the Garden in Eden and fill all the Earth. Man did not do what God said directly. Jesus did. Because Jesus walked with God as God intended Man should, Jesus was able to dominate as God intended: everything was under the dominion of Man in partnership with God. It became right and normal for Jesus to dominate everything that was around him. Sickness, malady, infirmity, disease, … even demonic oppression were dominated.

I am amazed at the number of superficial relationships I have had. I know the person. They know me. The relationship is by sight, maybe by name, rarely more than that. Neither one having or making time for more than that. Our sociologist-psychologist friends have labeled these as “casual acquaintances” or “non-significant others”: people in our periphery of social existence. As if this is to comfort us by naming the phenomenon. May be as I get older and people I cared about are further away, the people I now meet I would like to know better. For no more reason than they are.

People are funny. They look to the God of the Bible (or other gods) when some problem comes up as if God (or those gods) have absolution in problem solving. Then when it does not happen the way they had hoped, prayed, crossed themselves, marked themselves, whatever-to-appease-their-deity to themselves, they blame God – yes, that one from the Bible. Why is that? It is not like He has not told everyone (nearly everyone around the world now) how this whole thing with Him works. His book – the Holy Bible – is the most published, most sold, therefore may be the most read book in history. They blame God, because their plan did not work out. They blame God, because they did not follow His plan for bringing the boom! Follow His plan. He brings the boom!
