Today’s Manna in the Word:
The Lord is Good

For all of the controversy surrounding the God of the Bible, and all of the opposition, one thing remains true: the Lord is Good and His Mercies Everlasting.

So, let us seek Him while He may be found by us. Let us enter into His presence by faith [hope, confidence, trust]. Let us enter in with thanksgiving; thanksgiving for the many things He has done. Let us enter into His presence with praise; for He a good, good Father, a loving Father God, a giver of good gifts.

By His mercy we are saved.

By His truth we are set free.

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The God of Creation, the God of the Bible, so loved us He gave us His only begotten son, Jesus, so that if we believe – have faith – that Jesus and the Cross were enough we can have an everlasting life and right relationship with the God of the Bible.

Only choose to believe.
Make a decision to believe.

And, enter into His presence where there is joy everlasting.

Amen?

Today’s Manna in the Word:
Not in your wisdom

There is a saying:
Be wiser than most, if you can, but never tell them so.

It is a fact that we cannot calculate nor account for all of the variables in this life.

Our limited understanding will only get us so far.

Instead, seek wisdom and understanding from someone who sees more than we do, understands more than we do.

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting,
get understanding.”
Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Look to your Father in Heaven for wisdom and understanding. He will give it to you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is able. God is willing to help.

We do not have to think it through all by ourselves.

Amen?

Today’s Manna in the Word:
Whoever

The God of the Bible did not set a limitation.

There is no pre-qualifier, no lineage requirement, no economic requirement, no piety requirement.

He said just call to Him. He will answer.

“For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The only requirement was and still is: call on Him who is able to save you.

The God of Creation gave you Jesus, the Salvation of God, that you could have a life with Him and He with you.

It is just that simple.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Receive the gift of a right life with the only true and living God.

Today is March 17th. Historically, today is celebrated as Saint Patrick’s Day. Many will connect with their Irish ancestry or be Irish for the day. Many will celebrate with the “wearing of the green” or drinking of the green colored beverages.

What should be noted, however, is that Patrick returned to a land that enslaved him and tried to kill him. Patrick brought them the gospel of Jesus Christ, that any who believed would be saved. Patrick began a cascade of events that led Ireland to be changed from Celtic pagans to mostly Christian. The kings and high kings of Ireland acknowledged that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

John 3.17
“For God [the God of Creation] sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

You should do likewise.

Today’s Manna in the Word:
Seek God while you can…

This is a dangerous warning from the prophet Isaiah. It says there is a limit, a window of opportunity.

Once passed, it is no more.

The God of the Bible wants to give us a way out: seek Him while He may be found and turn from your chosen lifestyle; your life apart from Him.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We have made so many wrong choices, but there is a way out: choose God.

The God of Creation, the God of the Bible, loved us so much that He made a plan. His only begotten son, Jesus, would pay the price for willful separation and bring back into right relationship anyone who would accept this.

The choice is ours.

The consequence is not optional.

Choose life while you can.

A time is coming where this is not an option.

Choose life through Jesus Christ today.

Amen?

Today’s Manna in the Word:
Be still and know God…

It seems we are encouraged to “go and do” all of the time.

We are told: “If it is going to be it is up to me.”

The God of the Bible has a different view on this: trust God.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (‭‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

One translation says: stop striving.

Where have we put our trust?
In ourselves? We are limited.
In others? They are limited.
In the “universe”? It is made by the God of the Bible.

We can put our trust in the God of the Bible and cease from our struggling, striving, our attempts to make things happen.

We can be still and know the God of the Bible has this … everything we need is met in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:11 tells us to be diligent to enter God’s rest, His peace.

Be still, no stress, no anxiety, and know God.

Amen?

Foundational Scripture:
Matthew 6.33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

1.Keys to the Kingdom

Matthew 16.19 ESV
[Jesus saying] I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

2.Keys and Keyholder
• The keyholder has keys to everything, has authorized access, can give authorized access.
• Keys open, keys close, keys secure
• Responsible to the master of the keys for those spaces locked up.

3.Keyholder authority

Isaiah 22.22
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Revelation of John 3.7-8
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. ‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.’”

Chamberlain – controls and charged with the direction and management of a chamber or of chambers, all the storerooms and storehouses of the king.

Chancellor – controls the justice and courts of the kingdom; keeps the seal of the king.

Genesis 41.40 – Joseph second to Pharaoh only
You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command. Only as regards the throne will I be greater than you.”
*Understand that this is a type and shadow of our right relationship with the God of the Bible.

4.Adam was given them and lost them; Jesus will give them back.

Genesis 1.27-28
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 2.15
The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

Genesis 3.17-19
And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Mat 16.19 … I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven

5.Keys to the Kingdom

The First Key: Hear God for yourself
Matthew 16.17
And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.”

The Second Key: Belief in the Son of God, Jesus Christ

John 3.15-17
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned.

The Third Key: Pray the Prayer of Faith

Mark 11.24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Today’s Manna in the Word:
God’s faith in you…

It is crazy to think that the God of the Bible has faith in us.

He had to … the great risk of the Cross of Jesus Christ is that we had to choose or not choose this gift of salvation.

It is not of our abilities, though some of us seem very able and put together.

It is purely the gift of grace, His love for us and His desire to be with us, so God made a way: Jesus and the Cross.

“… He who began a good work in you will complete it …” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭

He gave us life, then He regave us life through Jesus.

This is the work He began in us. It started before the foundation of the world.

The God of Creation decided His worst case scenario would be He had to bring salvation that we might live with Him forever.

His worst case scenario has become our best case for hope and life.

He began this work in us, even more so when we believed.

The God of the Bible is faithful and just and will complete what He started in you. You will made back into His image and likeness and righteous before Him.

It is His act of faith that we will choose Him and choose to walk with Him.

Only choose Him.

Amen?
