Every Gift from God

Let us stop for a moment and reflect.
We have received so much from the God of Creation, who is our Father, even something so simple as our next breath.
We should stop, reflect, and thank God for His mercy, His kindness, His graciousness to us.
We should acknowledge Him and the life He has given us, including a new life with Him, given to us through Jesus Christ and the cross He bore for us.

Every Gift from God

Everything good, everything perfectly meeting our needs at the right moment, is from Him.
We should stop.
Take a moment.
And, thank Him.

Amen?

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

‭‭With Thanksgiving…

Philippians 4.6

Life gives us many things about which to be concerned. The #lifehack is to not have fear nor be anxious, but to give thanks to our God, Savior, and Father who loves us deeply.

Life has challenges.
Jesus said there would be diverse troubles, but Jesus has overcome the world.

So, be thankful. Give thanks.
In all things.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. -Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NKJV‬

“The Lord will see to it…”

What are you going through?
What difficulty are you facing?
What has God asked you to do that seems impossible?

Look to the example of Abraham of the Bible. God asked the impossible but Abraham looked to God for the answer and said “God will see to it.”

Abraham trusted God.
God provided.
Isaac fulfilled God’s promise.

Trust God to fully fill to the full that thing which He promised.
The God of the Bible will provide.

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:14‬
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide [YHWH Jireh]; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

Foundational Scripture:
Matthew 6.33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

A Kingdom Church is prophetic
Meaning, the Church cultivates a right relationship with the Lord, the God of the Bible, and listens to what He has to say.
A Kingdom Church seeks input from the God of the Bible and what He wants.

Ephesians 4.11 Gifts to the Church – Prophet
And he [God} gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers

What is “prophetic”?
[Websters 1828 Dictionary] Containing prophecy; foretelling future events
What is a prophet?
From Websters 1828 Dictionary
1.One that foretells future events; a predicter; a foreteller.
2.In Scripture, a person illuminated, inspired or instructed by God to announce future events; as Moses, Elijah, David, Isaiah, &c.
3.An interpreter; one that explains or communicates sentiments. Exo 7.
4.One who pretends to foretell; an imposter; as a false prophet. Acts 13

From the Greek word prophetes, one who speaks before
Biblically, a prophet is one who speaks on behalf of the God of the Bible

Not everyone is called to be a biblical prophet

There is a difference in the gift of prophecy and being a prophet that God has called.
•Gift of Prophecy is for encouraging, building up, edifying; same with Word of Knowledge gift
•Prophet of God is someone who speaks on behalf of God and usually provides direction and/or correction.

Ephesians 2.19b-20 foundations of apostles and prophets
… the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

1 Corinthians 14.1-5 Prophesy … from a right relationship with God … All should prophesy
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

1 Corinthians 12.7-11 Gifts of the Spirit
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
