The Lord, Our Shepherd

Today’s Manna in the Word:
The Lord, our Shepherd

David of Israel was a shepherd and a son of a shepherd. He understood what it meant to watch over and take care of sheep.

David realised the Lord had been his shepherd, taking care of him.

‭”The Lord  is  my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalms 23:1

In the same way, we must allow the Lord God to be our shepherd.

We must put our trust in God, that God will care for us, that God watches over us.

If we allow ourselves to be led by God we will not lack any good thing. He will care for us, provide for us, make a way for us. We shall not want. He will take care of it.

Genesis 22.8, 14 shows us by Abraham’s statements of faith, trust in God, that God will take care of us.
v.8 – God will provide Himself
v.14 – God will see to it

Put our trust in Him.
God will see to us.
The Lord is our Shepherd.
