                                                              i.      Verb therefore action is required

                                                            ii.      From Latin precor – to beg

                                                          iii.      To beseech, entreat, implore; to ask very earnestly; to make supplication

b.      Prayer

                                                              i.      Noun

                                                            ii.      From precarius – obtained by begging

                                                          iii.      An earnest request, entreaty, or supplication

                                                          iv.      Spiritual communion with God

c.       Pray – er

                                                              i.      Person; one who prays or supplicates

                                                            ii.      Supplicate … for those who were wondering

1.      From Latin supplicatus – to kneel down, pray,

2.      From Latin supplicare – to fold, double up

Note: Get used to it … Every knee will bow; every tongue will confess Jesus Christ is Lord! [Philippians 2.9-11]

                                                          iii.      Rogers definition:

1.      One who asks from his/her lower or humble position to a higher position, asking from one who could answer and deliver to the request.

IV.             Luke 18.1-8 … Pray and cease not

1.      Be persistent in prayer!

2.      Pray and cease not!

d.      There is no set time frame to pray.

b.      Don’t look for a ‘religious answer.’ It won’t fit.

c.       It is all about spending time with the one who knows you best and loves you the most.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.”


Intercessory Prayer:


          Be GOD, YHWH El-Shaddai, El-Shammah, El-Adonai

          Isaiah 46.10 be done today and everyday, through out time.

          Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us.

          Be Lord and GOD All Mighty.

          Do YOUR WILL over and above all other prayers. Turn a deaf ear or return correction, but DO NOT HEED other than Your Word or Will.


The Church, The Body of Christ:

          Open the eyes blinded to Your Gospel.

          Put a hunger for You above all other things deep in their spiritual hearts, a desperate hunger.

          Draw them together, a mighty flood.

          Raise up to Yourself righteous shepherds, wise and full of valor, for Your people.

The Church continued –

          Cause them to love one another as You have loved them.

          Fill them all wholly and completely with Your Holy Spirit.

          Present them before Yourself a Holy Nation, without spot or wrinkle.

          Show me Your heart concerning Your people that I might pray for them.





As you pray, pray this way


Our Father Who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name …

          Praise GOD your Father through the shed blood of Jesus and the Cross at Calvary.

          Praise Him for:

o        Sins forgiven 1Jn 1.9; Ti 3.5

o        Righteousness – YHWH Tsidkenu

o        Sanctification – YHWH M’Kaddesh

o        Presence – YHWH Shammah

o        He gives health, vitality, soundness

          Pray HIS Will and Kingdom over:

o        Family

o        Church

o        The pastor, staff, leadership, grounds, property

o        Your nation, state/province, local governments

o        For wisdom, peace, right minds, and salvation

o        For strength and courage to do what is right

o        For right government

§         And for their families

o        For the Harvest: N, S, E, & W

o        For all who are not yet in Jesus Christ


Give us today our daily bread …

          The Lord is my provision! Is 55.1; 2Co 9.8; Ep 3.20; Ph 4.19

          Believe it is GOD’s will to prosper you. Dt 28.1-14

Je 29.11

          Be specific of your known needs. Ph 4.6

          Be tenacious, be persistent. Pray and do not give up! Lk 18.1

          Believe it is GOD’s will to redeem you.

o        He gives power to the faint. Is 40.29

o        He gives you the ability to get wealth
