Today’s Manna in the Word:
Seek first…
“Before anything else I do, I do this…”
That is what seek first means.
You make that one thing primary.
It is first.
Jesus said we should do this concerning God, our Heavenly Father.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV
I think we go through that verse too quickly at times.
After talking about all that other stuff that was important to our lives, Jesus boils it down to this:
- Seek first God’s Kingdom, God’s domain
- Seek first a right relationship with Him
It is a personal, individual, moment by moment choice. Choose God first in all you do.
Choose God, the God of the Bible.
He chooses you and gave you Jesus so you could be with Him.
