SEED FAITH
Mark 4.26-32
26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. 28For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest is come. 30And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth: 32But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
I. Farmers understand the miracle of seed. Jesus understood it too.
II. Scientists have yet to figure out the trigger that causes a seed to turn on and grow
III. Have you ever grown anything
IV. The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed
V. It does not make sense to take your expensive assets, plant them in dirt, and wait to chance that something will come of it … yet that is farming
VI. Matthew 6.11, Luke 11.3 … Give us this day our daily bread
VII. II Corinthians 9.10
Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
VIII. II Corinthians 9.11
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.
IX. Luke 6.38 – Key on two parts of this verse.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; … For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Trust God. For the same measure that you trust Him in all things and with all things it will be measured back to you.
Let us pray.
